MLC Dallecort Mini Hot Shots Series Tournaments

This is an imitative of Tennis Australia & MLC to give younger players the chance to play in tournaments. MLC DalleCort Hot Shots Mini Series tournaments are played around the 4 great world tennis grand slams. The first one was held on Saturday 1 Sept to coincide with the US Grand Slam red white and blue streamers and hot dogs & trophies were the flavour of the day.

Junior players from 4 – 12 years depending on ability play with the lighter Red, Orange or Green balls with smaller nets and courts making it easier for them to serve and rally.

The 2nd MLC Mini Series Tournament was held at Tennis Townsville on Saturday 1 December in hot humid conditions just like those conditions that the top players have to endure when playing in the Australian Open! With  green and yellow balloons everywhere and a snag on the barbie all players and parents enjoyed the afternoon .

The next mini slam will be sometime in May when the French Open is on followed by the mini slam for Wimbledon in June.  More information re when & where will be available closer to the Major Grand Slam events.

Tennis Townsville extends its appreciation to MLC and DalleCort for their support.
