CARDIO TENNIS

 

Cardio Tennis is a high energy tennis workout that will have you and your friends picking up a racquet and heading down to Tennis Townsville. It does not matter if you play regularly or have not played tennis before, because Cardio Tennis is open to people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels.

On average a Cardio Tennis workout runs for 60 mins and comprises three basic elements:

  • warm- up
  • cardio segment (drill based and play based activities)
  • cool down 

Constant movement is the focus as a qualified coach takes you through the fun and heart pumping drills. As well as being social, it’s a great way to boost your fitness and lose weight. According to the Tennis Industry Association, during a Cardio Session, women will burn between 300 & 500 calories and men will burn between 500 and 800 calories (on average).

 

Due to the uncertainty of the weather - wet season and humid conditions in February,  Cardio Tennis will start up after Easter.
